"Dr.Marshall brings an impressive combination of integrity, clinical sophistication and wisdom to his work. The results of our collaboration over a number of years leads me to refer clients to him with great confidence, even in the most difficult of circumstances."

"As an educational consultant working with children and families with therapeutic/special needs it has long been a challenge to recommend that teens return home following treatment, given the lack of effective aftercare options in the Bay Area. With the support of Back on Track and the clinical expertise of Dr. Gross and Dr. Marshall, I have been able to recommend a return home to many more families. The combination of positive peer support and family work enables families who have invested so much in family reunification to make this transition to home a healthy, productive experience. Back on Track has made it possible. I cannot recommend them highly enough."

"As a treatment provider, I have long awaited a program like "Back on Track". When young people go away to treatment, their return to the home community is often a precarious transition. "Back on Track" has the support, education, and caring professionalism that is needed to ensure success."

"I have known and worked closely with Dr Charles Marshall for close to 20 years, sharing cases, seeking consultation and making referrals. He is a superb therapist, direct, thoughtful, kind, effective, and a pleasure of a clinician with whom to collaborate. His knowledge in the area of adolescent development and substance abuse, put him in a league of his own. I could not recommend him to you more highly."

"During the last 23 years I have worked closely with Dr. Gross and Dr. Marshall. As an educator, I have had the opportunity to observe their unique skills as they work with teens having substance abuse and emotional problems. Their knowledge and commitment are unequaled. They are respected pioneers in the field of addiction and are well valued by their colleagues.
Their program, BACK ON TRACK, has significantly increased the chances for long term recovery for teens. I have watched these adolescents become successful and productive adults."

"It has been my privilege and pleasure to know and collaborate with Dr Shlomit Gross for nearly thirty years. She is a remarkable therapist. Her extensive knowledge of family systems and developmental psychology, together with her profound empathy, kindness and warmth give her the ability to work with families on a deep, life-changing level. I trust her completely to find the true source of a family's pain so that genuine change in the family's experience of itself, its functioning, and its happiness can occur. I love her work! I strongly recommend to any family or couple in need of a fresh perspective and some genuine help to put themselves in her capable hands and watch your relationships heal."
–Dr. Jo Ann Whittington
"My husband and I were excited, scared, nervous, and ecstatic, that our son was coming home after 2 months of wilderness therapy, and 18 months of living in, and learning from, an RTC. Even though our son and we felt the need for guidance with his resuming life at home, the idea of a group setting to do that in, made us nervous. That vulnerable feeling lasted only until the first meeting of Back on Track began. The warm, straightforward, practical and caring ways of Shlomit and Charlie, were something that we looked forward to each week. After having been through the pain, loss and sadness that comes from sending your child away for help, I hope you give yourselves the gift of Back on Track."

"Back on Track" is a great program. It enabled us to put our family back together after our son came home from his wilderness program. Without the BOT program for support, we would have sent him to boarding school. Having the support of the group leaders and the other families was critical-- it is so good to be with other people who understand what you are going through. Not to say it is easy, but the program was really helpful in improving our family communication.
